Birthday Outfit Ideas for a Weekend Getaway
We all love a good weekend getaway but what happens when you are not sure what your itinerary will be? I'm hoping after this post you have a better idea of what to pack and how to make use of all your pieces.
The pre packing process began with a fun DIY of some mermaid sandals. I knew I was going to have a fun birthday and I needed to feel like a mermaid at the beach that day.

Ok so we made some fabulous pom pom sandals. Now what do we need to pack?
First, you want to make sure you packed a little black anything and your favorite pair of high heels. If you prefer a dress, romper, jumpsuit. Take your pick and make sure you have it handy. Black is great for any occasion and can be easily dressed down or up. In this photo, I'm showing you guys how I styled a comfortable jumpsuit for a night out. I did not know I was going out that night but I had to improvise.

Next, a statement necklace. I usually pack more than one but I only packed a boho one this time. I liked how it paired in the end. It gave the outfit an evening look with a hint of bohemian. Made me feel I was going out for an event that was tropical. Hey a girl can dream that her weekend getaway took place in Hawaii right? haha

Third, a good variety of lipsticks! They can really impact the way an outfit transcends. What are your favorite tones? make sure you pack your favorites! My favorite tones are pink, purple, and a salmon color.
Fourth, some statement earrings, and studs. You can never go wrong with studs but when you run out of cute dresses and ruffles you can really change the way your outfit looks but wearing some large comfortable statement earrings. The ones in the photo were purchased at Charlotte Russe for $5.00.
Day 0 night out: Fun little black dress!
Day 1: It was a full day or relaxation at the resort and some theme park activity. I wanted something fun flowy and comfortable. Had to be ready for the unexpected. Choose a dress that makes you feel comfortable, girly, and cute. Part of feeling cute for me included a dress that would flatter my body even after all the junk food I would consume that day. haha

En Español Dia Uno: Fue un día muy relajado. Quería un vestido que fuera divertido, cómodo, y flojo. Tenia que estar lista para todo. Escoje un vestido que este femenino y comodo a la misma vez. Lo mas importante para mi era un vestido flojo para que me no se me notara toda la comida que iba consumir ese dia.

Day 2: Fun in the sun! Pack a nice lace top with some denim shorts. Even though you might think you won't wear them together in the end that might be all you have left. unless you planned a second flowy dress. In my case I didn't. All I had left was a cute lace top and some white denim shorts I had worn a few days before with a T shirt. It occurred to me that even though I was out of dresses and cute tops I could always pair a lace top and shorts differently.
